Today's look was heavily inspired by the 1960s space age. All bold black and white, sparkles, and a bag to give a pop of color completes the look. Since both my Birthday and Christmas have landed in the month of December, I have been given the opportunity to get creative with lots of new funky vintage (inspired) outfits.
Lately, I have been getting plenty of my pictures by the snow since the best lighting is found outdoors and where I live it snows a lot in the wintertime. *eyes roll* Although snow may not be my favorite, I do notice that some of you enjoy seeing it in my pictures so I guess it's not all that bad. And plus, as you can tell... it is melting just a bit!
When it comes to footwear, I own two pairs of vintage reproduction go go boots from Unique Vintage. I love them so much and they are mot definitely a fashion staple for my 1960s and 1970s looks. For this outfit I decided on the sleek black go go boots. I always think its especially fun to wear high socks underneath to contrast the boot color. I may or may not have a sock fetish haha!
For Christmas I received this darling dress from Unique Vintage which is so mod. On their site, it is better known as the 1960s Mod Style Black & White Daisy Sleeved Flare Dress and that name fits its description very accurately. The colors are so classy yet the style and print of the dress make it extremely youthful. And THAT collar... how could one resist?
For my makeup I just evenly distributed concealer all over my face, slabbed on some rosy colored eye shadow, and drew on some thick eyeliner with bitty wings and plenty of mascara. I also filled in my brows and symmetrically attached sequins to my face with an eyelash adhesive I found lying around. It was my first time using craft sequins on my face... and I must admit... I LOVE it!
And who said Jelly Bags are meant for the beach or sunny weather? Definitely not me!
This tote, better known as the Agnes Atomic Tote in the color, mint, adds the most perfect pop of color to this outfit! It was given to me as a gift for Christmas and I was so happy to receive it considering it was one of the top items on my wishlist! It is from Sun Jellies: one of my favorite brands of which I have already built of a collection of jelly sandals from!
And OF COURSE, how can a vintagey outfit be complete without Revere Folie earrings? These cute little black and white hoops were a perfect addition to this look.
